Job description

As PhD “Robust Multi-Scale Methods for Optic Flow“ you will fulfill the following activities:

  • Literature research and implementation of several concurrent modern Optic Flow methods.
  • Development of an implementation for generic Optic Flow from multi-scale singularities.
  • Dissemination of the results of your research in international and peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Writing of a successful dissertation based on the developed research.
  • Communicate with the different partners involved in the project.
  • Some educational tasks like the supervision of Master students and internships.

Requirements

University Graduate

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following requirements:

  • You are talented and enthusiastic researcher
  • You have affinity with medical image analysis.
  • You have good programming skills and experience, preferably in C++ and Mathematica.
  • You have good communicative skills, and the attitude to partake successfully in a highly multidisciplinary team of physicians, physicist, mathematicians, electrical and biomedical engineers and computer scientist
  • You are creative and ambitious.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering is a joint-department of the Eindhoven University of Technology and the University of Maastricht. Education and research focus on the most complex and fascinating "system" known to date: the human body. Biomedical Engineering plays a key role as a new discipline, interfacing and integrating engineering and biomedical sciences. Education and research have been organized around 4 profiles: molecular bioengineering, biomechanics and tissue engineering, biomedical imaging and informatics, and biosignals and regulation.

Conditions of employment
Estimated maximum salary per month: eur 2000 - 2500
Employment basis: Temporary for specified period
Duration of the contract: 4 jaar
Maximum hours per week: 40
