An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time postdoctoral researcher to work on the computational simulation of fluid flow in compliant tubes. This is part of a joint project with the University of Sheffield developing Optical Computerised Tomography as a diagnostic tool in medical research. The work in Exeter will involve using Fluent, Abaqus and MpCCI to compute pulsatile flow in a range of geometrics to match the experimental work undertaken in Sheffield.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in an appropriate scientific or engineering discipline and will have experience with modelling fluid flow or stress analysis in a biomedical context. Experience with Fluent or Abaqus would be an advantage.
