The Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s (DAFF) role is to develop and implement policies and programmes that ensure the continued competitiveness, profitability and sustainability of Australia’s agricultural, fisheries, food and forestry industries.

We need Graduates from ALL DISCPLINES with fresh perspectives and enthusiasm to work with us in Canberra. We highly value disciplines in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Agriculture, and Resource Management. Many graduates also come from Economics, Commerce, Business, Law, Arts, Science and Veterinary Science backgrounds.

As an employee of DAFF you will make a contribution that matters by influencing the development of sound government policies and programmes for significant national issues. These could include sustainable resource management, natural resource management, land and salinity, water conservation, drought and climate change issues.

DAFF’s Graduate Development Programme (GDP) is delivered over a twelve month period and is aimed at equipping your with the skills and knowledge that will assist you with your career. After the completion of the GDP, the opportunities are endless, and there will be plenty of support along the way.

Contact: Online applications for the 2008 DAFF Graduate Development Programme open on Tuesday, 27 February 2007 (AEDST) and will close on Tuesday, 24 April 2007 (AEST).
