For the fourth year in a row, the ENS Lyon is offering outstanding international students the chance to receive a 1,000 euro per month scholarship for studies in one of the master programs offered at the ENS Lyon. This scholarship program is for students who have completed their undergraduate studies at a university outside of France and would like to do their first or second year of master studies in Lyon.

The ENS Lyon organizes an international selection for Master studies aimed at the most outstanding recent graduates and students currently in their final year of undergraduate studies at a university abroad. Candidatures are accepted for the first or second year of master studies. If accepted, candidates become ENS Lyon International Students and receive a monthly allowance of €1,000 to study in one of the Master programs (mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, molecular and cellular biology, and Earth sciences) offered by the ENS Lyon.

The scholarship is awarded for one academic year and is renewable for a second year in order to obtain the Master. Renewal depends on the participants academic achievement.

Candidatures are accepted under the following conditions:

  • Candidates must have undertaken their higher education outside of France.
  • Candidates must have already obtained their undergraduate degree or be enrolled in their final year of undergraduate studies and obtaining a degree equivalent to a Bachelor of Science (180 ECTS credits) at the time of their departure for France.
  • Candidates may apply only once.
