The International Max-Planck Research School for Molecular and Cellular
Biology (IMPRS-MCB) of the Max-Planck Institute of Immunobiology and
the Albert-Ludwigs University of Freiburg in Germany invites suitable
candidates to apply for a position in our International PhD program 2007, which is going to start in October 2007 in Freiburg, Germany.
We invite applications from all countries. Applicants must hold a
- Bachelors degree with honours (Bsc Hons)
- a Masters degree or a Diplom (or equivalent)
in Biology, Biochemistry, Medicine, Chemistry, or related fields. It is
not necessary to hold the degree at the point of application. However,
you must have been awarded your degree prior to the start of the
program in October.
Candidates have to be fluent in written and spoken English and
document their proficiency in English (TOEFL etc.). German is not
required. The applications are reviewed by the selection committee of
the Research School. Based on their academic qualification, motivation,
suitability to the program and on two confidential letters of
recommendation, candidates are selected for personal interviews in
Freiburg. Online-registration and full details of the requirements for
the application including the application form can be found at
www.imprs-mcb.mpg.de.
The closing date for applications is 12 January 2007
