[New Zealand] Postdoc Positions at The Centre for Atmospheric Research University of Canterbury PDF Print E-mail

Centre for Atmospheric Research, University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. The Fellow will work with mesoscale models - MM5 and/or WRF - on the University’s new high-performance computer. This research will mainly focus on numerical sensitivity analysis of mesoscale flows in complex terrain, such as thermally forced flow in an inland basin in Central South-West Asia and katabatic wind over Darwin-Hatherton Glacial System in Antarctica.This project is being undertaken in collaboration with researchers from Department of Geography, and Gateway Antarctica.

The successful applicant will have completed a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences or a related field. Preference will be given to those who have experience working with either MM5 or WRF on parallel computer architecture.
