The International Max-Planck Research School for Immunobiology and
Development (IMPRS-IBD) of the Max-Planck Institute of Immunobiology
and the Albert-Ludwigs University of Freiburg in Germany invites
suitable candidates to apply for a position in our exciting new
International PhD programme, which is going to start in October 2006
in Freiburg, Germany.
We invite applications from all countries. Applicants must hold a
Bachelors degree with honours (Bsc Hons), a Masters degree or a
Diplom (or equivalent) in biology, biochemistry, medicine,
chemistry, or related fields. It is not necessary to hold the degree
at the point of application. However, you must have been awarded
your degree prior to the start of the program in October 2006.
Candidates have to be fluent in written and spoken English and
document their proficiency in English (TOEFL). German is not
required.
The applications are reviewed by the selection committee of the
Research School. Based on their academic qualification, motivation,
suitability to the program and on 2 letters of recommendation,
candidates are selected for personal interviews in Freiburg.
