Ph.D. position for process development TFT

Job description
We have available a Ph.D. position. The Ph.D.
will recrystallize a thin silicon film with a solid state laser,
investigates the recrystallization process and how this is influenced
by “seeding” and metal induced crystallization. He/she relates the
crystal structure and -orientation with the transistor properties.
Requirements
University Graduate Knowledge of semiconductor physics is a prerequisite.

In the Laboratory of Electronic Components,
Technology and Materials (ECTM) of the Department of Microelectronics
and Computer Engineering nationally and internationally recognized
research and development is carried out in the field of silicon
technology. Currently the most important application area’s are Silicon
Device Integration, Microsystems/MEMS Technology and Thin Film Silicon
Device Technology (thin film transistors (TFT’s) and solar cells). More

Conditions of employment
Estimated maximum salary per month: eur 2000 - 2500
Maximum salary amount in Euro's a month 2407 Employment basis: Temporary for specified period Duration of the contract: four years Maximum hours per week: 38
Additional conditions of employment:
For the Ph.D. candidates the employment contract is for 1 year, that
normally will be extended with another 3 years. The salary is € 1.877,-
gross per month in the first year, and increases to € 2.407 gross per
month in the fourth year.
