You will work on cross-layer aspects of wireless communication
systems. This will be undertaken within the Signals and Systems group
of the Institute for Digital Communications, which is internationally
renowned for its contributions to signal processing.
The primary
focus of this research stream, funded by the Mobile VCE and EPSRC, is
to develop efficient mechanisms for wireless communications that will
enable a significant reduction in the cost per bit, i.e. improved
delivery efficiency.
You will have a PhD or equivalent in
engineering, mathematics or computer science, and have a strong
background in communications theory; expertise in information theory
and its applications in the analysis and study of wireless
communication systems, and previous experience in the analysis and
design of cross layer aspects of wireless communication systems is
desirable.
Fixed Term: 3 Years
Salary Scale: £20,044 - £30,002
