Two Research Associates : Autonomic Networks

We are seeking two Research Associates to work on an EU FP6
funded project on Autonomic Networks under the supervision
of Professor Erol Gelenbe. Our group's prior research in
this area is detailed at the web site: http://san.ee.ic.ac.uk
Both posts require an advanced degree such as a PhD or
Master of Science (or equivalent) in any of the following;
Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer
Science/Computing, Mathematics or a related discipline.
Candidates who already have a research publication record
in the field of computer networks will be given preference.
Programming skills at the system and network level and
first hand systems programming experience with operating
systems and networks are essential. Strong theoreticians
in the field of networks will also be considered. A good
background in neural networks and adaptive systems is
useful, as well as a background in queueing systems and
stochastic modeling methods. Good mathematical skills are
required. Prior experience is desirable with Linux based
systems programming and operating systems.
You will be expected to participate in advanced theoretical
and practical research and to contribute rapidly through
publications in top level journals and conferences.
