Belgium: PhD Position in Biology, Ghent University PDF Print E-mail

The Department of Biology, Ghent University and the Department of Plant Systems Biology, Flemish Institute for Biotechnology Position invite applications for a PhD position within the field of diatom physiology to be filled from 1 February, 2009. The position is limited to four years.

Applicants should have a degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Bio-engineering, Physiology or Biochemistry. He/she will be appointed for a period of four years.

We offer a challenging interdisciplinary research project in the field of diatom physiology, using transcriptomics and metabolomics approaches to understand the mechanisms regulating diatom growth and lipid metabolism.
