Engineering Doctorate - Power Electronics, Drives and Machines PDF Print E-mail

The EPSRC funded Engineering Doctorate Programme offers:

There are 3 vacancies for highly qualified, well motivated graduates, to enrol upon the 4 year Programme, starting September 2006.

Up to 75 % of the time will be spent undertaking commercially relevant, ground breaking research with a sponsoring company such as BOC Edwards, Black & Decker, Control Techniques, Dupont, Dynex Semiconductors, Dyson, Econnect, FR HiTemp, FKI, Intelligent Power Systems, Rolls Royce, PB Power, Semilab, Sevcon, Siemens, Switched Reluctance Drives and Goodrich.

Candidates should have a good first degree in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering, or physics. Experience of electromagnetic design, power electronics or drives is also beneficial, but not essential. EPSRC funding is only available for UK and some EU applicants.
