Bioanalysis on Single Particles
Department of Chemistry
An EPSRC funded studentship is available in microfluidic (bio)analytical chemistry. The project is aimed at performing bioanalysis on single magnetic particles within a microfluidic chip. The student will be based in the Department of Chemistry which has an international leading reputation for its work in the field of Lab-on-a-Chip technology and which also has strong links to the biomedical institute in Hull.

The preferred start date is September 2006, although other dates can be considered if necessary. The student's stipend will be £12,300 per annum (tax free) plus additional laboratory demonstrating income. Applicants for this position should have a good BSc or Master degree in chemistry or biochemistry. Knowledge of (bio)analytical chemistry and/or microfluidic chemistry would be of advantage but are not essential. Only UK citizens are eligible for full funding (maintenance stipend and tuition fees). European Union citizens are eligible for tuition fees only. Non-EU citizen are not eligible for this EPSRC funded studentship.
