UK: Research Associate in Economic and Social Research PDF Print E-mail
Written by Suleman Shahid
Saturday, 02 August 2008

The Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) is recognised as one of the leading academic research centres in Britain. It currently employs 26 research staff, organised into four teams - regeneration, labour market studies, voluntary and community sector research and housing. Members of CRESR were central to the Sheffield Hallam University's 2001 RAE submission in the Town Planning area, which received a '4' rating. Considerable resources have been devoted to supporting staff in recent years to build up a strong record of academic publications to strengthen the submission for the 2008 RAE round.

The Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) is looking to appoint a Research Associate in the field of labour market studies and / or regeneration research. CRESR is making this opportunity to support new strategic research initiatives and to contribute to the existing portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate practical research skills including strong analytical and organisational skills. It is essential to be able to communicate complex findings to a variety of audiences in a straight forward manner. The post holder must be able to work to tight deadlines. CRESR welcomes applications from members of black and minority ethnic groups.
