According to the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking, the Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) offers Europe’s best MBA in terms of price-performance ratio. As an e-fellows.net Alumni, you can increase this ratio even further: With the new merit-based scholarship that covers up to a maximum of half of the tuition fee (8,500 British pounds). You can apply for the scholarship after your acceptance on the Lancaster MBA.

The Scholarship

Amount granted: The scholarship is in the form of tuition waiver which covers up to a maximum of 50 percent of the tuition fee (equivalent to £8500, approx 11,450 Euros) for the full-time Lancaster MBA Programme commencing in October 2008 at Lancaster University Management School.

Eligibility: The scholarship is open to all candidates who meet the admissions criteria for the full-time Lancaster MBA and are “accredited e-fellows.net alumni”. As the scholarship is awarded on a merit basis, the selection process focuses on the leadership skills or potential demonstrated by candidates in their academic and/or professional life.

Deadline & Communication: Closing date for application is 15 May 2008. Decision on the scholarships will be taken by mid June.

Selection process:

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must have applied for and been accepted on the full-time Lancaster MBA programme.

Candidates should request an e-fellows scholarship form from the Lancaster MBA office on notification of successful admission. The scholarship form is to be returned directly to the Lancaster MBA with a supporting email of your e-fellows status.

The Programme

Theory and practice blend into an intensive and action-oriented MBA, including three consultancy assignments giving you the opportunity to witness business from a start-up, SME and corporate perspective. All key functional management disciplines are explored, with particular emphasis on aspects of leadership and responsible management. Specializing in particular aspects of management is possible through your choice of elective modules.

Lancaster offers particular strengths in finance, entrepreneurship, leadership and marketing/strategy. The Lancaster MBA also features unrivalled international exchange opportunities, with links to world-class partner institutions in a number of countries within the EU, North America and Asia.
