Doctoral Research Fellowship (Islam and the Islamic World)

POSITION AS DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (SKO/post code 1017) IN ISLAM AND THE ISLAMIC WORLD is available at the Department of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages, Faculty of Humanities, University of Oslo

The successful candidates should in her/his research project work on a topic related to Islam and the Islamic world. Applicants should document necessary language competence to carry out the project. The applicant’s doctoral research project should preferably be related to one of the ongoing research projects at the department.

The position is available for a period of three years. Candidates who are accepted must participate in the researcher education programme (cf. regulations and supplementary provisions for the faculty’s researcher education). Research fellows will have their workplace and academic contact person at the relevant Department.

Requirements:
· A master degree equivalent to a Norwegian master degree in a relevant field.
The final candidates will be called to an interview at the University of Oslo.
