Doctorate: Associated Western Universities, Inc. (AWU) – Graduate Research Fellowships at National Laboratories and Cooperating Facilities

Program Description:

AWU awards Graduate Fellowships to qualified master's and doctoral degree candidates in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology. These fellowships provide the opportunity to conduct thesis or dissertation research or explore research and technology career options or gain practical training at a sponsoring facility. 

Areas of Study: natural sciences   

Levels of Study: doctoral candidates at dissertation research stage 

Open to Students from: non U.S. citizens

Average Award Amount: A fellowship award may include a stipend of at least $1,300 per month, tuition assistance, and an allowance for travel. Sponsors may augment the award and provide additional allowances for fellowships at the facility or on campus. Stipend and tenure will vary depending on institution and fellowship.

Award Coverage: stipend, tuiton assistance, allowance for travel

Award Deadline: rolling

Eligibility Requirements: This program is open to master's and doctoral degree candidates enrolled in an accredited graduate program. Institutional affiliation and citizenship restrictions may apply for some awards or facilities.
