University of Lausanne

Department of Molecular Biology of Plants

A PhD student position is open to investigate the role of localization and intracellular transport in plant receptor kinase signaling. The applicant would join a new group at the department of molecular biology of plants (DBMV). The general focus of the lab is to understand plant membrane structure and function in the model plant Arabidopsis and to investigate developmental processes where regulated localization and trafficking of proteins are of central importance. Techniques will include genetics, molecular genetics and biochemistry, an important focus will be on advanced confocal live-imaging in intact plant organs. Prior experience with Arabidopsis and molecular genetics would be helpful but is not required. An at least basic level of French would be needed for this position.
Please send a CV, including a short statement of motivation and the names and addresses of two potential referees.
