Singapore: Research Associate in Computer Science PDF Print E-mail

We are looking for a Research Associate to work on an ASTAR funded project “Imaging and Restoration Techniques for Historical Archives”.  The project has two specific aims: (1) a 3D imaging system for historical manuscripts, and (2) software to help lessen the effects of ink-bleed-through found in hand-written documents housed at the National Archives of Singapore.

Together with a small team of other research staff, you will carry out research and development help achieve the aims stated above.  You will also work closely with the National Archive of Singapore to help assist them in their needs.

Requirements

    * A Masters degree in Computer Science or related-field
    * Strong analytical skills and foundation in image-processing
    * Strong research ability
    * Programming skills in C++/C#, and preferable Matlab
    * Good written and oral communication skills

Term of Appointment

The appointment can commence anytime after June 15th and will be initially for one year, with possibility for extension up to two additional years.
