Asia Pacific Leadership Program:

The Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) is the signature program of the East-West Center (EWC). The program links advanced and interdisciplinary analysis of emergent regional issues with experiential leadership learning.
The APLP empowers future leaders with the knowledge, skills, experiences and supportive community needed to successfully navigate personal and regional change in the 21st century.
The APLP draws on the diverse knowledge and leadership experience of its participants as well as the world-class resources of the East- West Center and its extended community.

Participants are high-potential or current leaders coming from over 20 countries and a broad array of backgrounds.
Each year, over 50 experts from the Center and around the world join the class to provide insights into how they chart the critical changes affecting the region and to reflect on the leadership lessons only experience can bring.
Graduates leave the East-West Center with an expanded Asia Pacific regional perspective. They are knowledgeable about the societies and issues of the Asia Pacific region and are trained to exercise leadership and promote cooperation in a variety of cultural, geographic and institutional environments.

The deadline for APLP 2006-07 application is (postmarked) by February 15, 2006.
