USA: Post Doc oppertunity in speech processing PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Saturday, 02 June 2007

The work primarily involves the perception of spectral & temporal speech information, and is performed primarily in
normal-hearing listeners. Additional work is performed in hearing impaired listeners.
Opportunities also exist to work with our population of cochlear  implant users.

Additional information may be found on our web site
http://www.sph.sc.edu/comd/healy/.

Candidates having doctoral training in a field closely
related to
hearing science are invited to apply informally to me
via email.
Proficiency with programming languages including
MATLAB is desired, but
not required. The initial period will be one year
starting Fall 2007,
and will be renewable assuming satisfactory
performance. Formal
letters
of application and reference may be requested.

The Department is an exciting place to be. Since
2001, we have added
five new tenure-track faculty, and we are recruiting
two more. Many
more research-track and postdoctoral positions have
been added. The
result is a rich environment filled with active
researchers. Here in
the Laboratory, we have been fortunate enough to have
forged effective
collaborations across the University (e.g.,
Psychology, Engineering,
Physics, and Medicine) and at a number of other
institutions

of moderate size having a mild climate, is here:
