Europe : European Master in Law and Economics (EMLE)

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Description: This programme offers the unique opportunity for interdisciplinary studies of law and economics at two or even three European and Non-European universities. Each partner university awards a Master degree (LL.M. / M.A. / M.Sc.). The programme provides students with an advanced understanding of the economic effects of divergent laws and prepares students for a professional career, for example, in public organisations, in multinational law firms or consultancy firms. Graduates are also well prepared for doctorate research in a PhD programme such as the European Doctorate in Law and Economics.

The EMLE application is organized in four easy steps:

  1. Make sure that you are eligible for the programme and whether you are an EU or a non-EU applicant (non-EU citizens may qualify as EU students depending on their CV)
  2. Collect necessary application documents and scan / photograph them (these documents must be provided before Dec. 31st 2013)
  3. Apply on-line and upload the application documents collected
  4. Collect the admission documents that all successful applicants need to be admitted to the programme (these documents, including the TOEFL, can be provided until June/July 2014)

Make sure to tackle each step as soon as possible. Especially steps 2 & 4 should be at least checked upon early on since several of these documents (language testing, degree verifications) can take several months to collect!

Additional information can be found in the FAQ. In case of any further questions please contact the applications staff at applications2013[at]emle.org.
