UK: PhD Studentships in Chemistry Heriot-Watt University

The Institutes of Chemical Sciences (ICS) and Biological Chemistry, Biophysics & Bioengineering (IB3) at Heriot-Watt University are advertising 10 scholarships leading to a PhD in Chemistry across a range of topics, to start in autumn 2014.
There are 8 James Watt Scholarships (JWS), each providing stipend and full fees for 3 years and available to both UK/EU students (stipend £15k pa) and overseas students (stipend £10k pa), and 2 ICS-based EPSRC Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) studentships, each providing stipend (£13,726 pa) and fees for 3.5 years (available to UK/EU students with a minimum 3 years residency).
All applicants must have or expect to have a 1st class MChem, MSci or equivalent degree by Autumn 2014. Selection will be based on academic excellence and research potential, and all short-listed applicants will be interviewed (in person, by ‘phone or by Skype).
