Germany: Postdoc-Position available in The Department of Bone- and Skeletal Research at the Research Institute of Experimental Musculoskeletal Medicine

Description: We are seeking for a highly motivated postdoc to work on the project funded by the IZKF-Münster for 3 years entitled ‚modified Wnt-signaling and its effects on degenerative and inflammatory alterations of the joint‘. Using different mouse models the projects aims to elucidate the potential role of Wnt-ligands in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

We expect: the applicant to have a PhD degree in biology, veterinary medicine, mo­le­cu­lar medicine, life sciences or similar studies. Experience with molecular, biochemical and histological techniques are a requirement. Experience with imaging techniques such as µCT and bone histomorphometry is advantages. Extensive long-term experience in handling of mice (breeding etc.) is a necessity. In addition, we expect a highly motivated co-worker, who can indepentently address scientific and methological questions. She/He should be a good team worker, should be willing to take on responsibilities in supervising students and should have published in international journals.
