The Erasmus Mundus Master in Membrane Engineering EM3E

The Erasmus Mundus Master in Membrane Engineering EM3E offers an advanced education programme related to membrane science and engineering at the interface between material science and chemical engineering and focused on specific applicative fields.

It involves 6 High Education Insitutions of 5 European countries: 
University of Twente (Netherlands), Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal), Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain), Institute of Chemical Technology Prague (Czech Republic), Université Paul Sabatier (Toulouse, France) and Université Montpellier 2 (France, coordinating organisation). Associated partners are the Universitat della Calabria (Italy), the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) and the Université Hassan II of Mohammedia (Morocco).
The pedagogical project of Master comes from the closely collaboration between partners through the European Research Network of Excellence NanoMemPro (EU-FP7).
Erasmus Mundus is an educational programme launched by the European Commission to promote the cooperation and mobility of higher education. It is a unique opportunity to offer attractive scholarships to non-European and European students by placing emphasis on the diversity of the students’ origin.

Application procedure

Master edition 2014-2016: The call for applications is open until December 15th 2013 (admission with scholarship) and April 15th 2014 (admission as self-paying student).
The application is done online at the page: http://www.emundus.univ-montp2.fr/ 
Go to the page to create your personnal account, then follow the instructions that are given by the application software. The application will collect all the electronical documents you have to submit (the list is done below). You can interrupt the submission at any time and continue the submission later. You can submit the scanned documents in several formats, however PDF format is strongly preferred.
You must finish your electronic submission before the deadline, otherwise your application will not be validated. When done, you will get at the top of the page (when you are connected to the Application) the “Status of your actual application” ending with “Application sent”, and you will receive an e-mail confirming your application has been received.
If you are unable to provide one of the requested documents, please upload instead of it a document explaining the reason. If you obtain this document after the application deadline, send us the document by e-mail as soon as you get it.
Please do not send any document by post, the original (or certified copies) will be asked after the selection process.

Tuition and fees:

The registration fee is the same irrespective of the study track choosen for the semester 3. It includes tuition fee (registration in the three host universities) and other participation costs:

Category A student: 8 000 €/year
Category B student: 4 000 €/year

Students pay the registration fee in one only place (University Montpellier 2 ) and at the beginning of each year (semester 1 and semester 3).
For the students awarded with an Erasmus Mundus scholarship, the fee is covered by the scholarship.
Self-paying students can paid the participation fee in four installments (in September and in February of the first and second years).

The registration fee cover insurance costs, attendance at the integration week, cultural lectures and visits, library, fieldwork cost, language cost, administrative cost, and costs related with the student support.

The registration fee does not include living expenses and transportation costs (travel, visa, etc).
Deadlines

Students eligible for a scholarship and important remarks:
_Only candidates who have been accepted by EM3E in accordance with EM3E admission criteria. The scholarships are offered to the best students, after the examination of the applications.
_Individuals who have already benefited from an scholarship from another Erasmus Mundus Master are not eligible for a EM3E scholarship.
_Students benefiting from an Erasmus Mundus EM3E scholarship cannot benefit from another Community grant while pursuing their Erasmus Mundus masters studies.
_Erasmus Mundus Master students scholarships are awarded exclusively for a full-time enrolment in one of the course editions.
_Students can apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship to the EMMCs of their choice but the number of applications is limited to maximum three courses.
