Bulgaria:10 (ten) Fellowship Grants at The Centre of Excellence in the Humanities “Alma Mater” at SU “St Kliment Ohridski”
The Centre of Excellence in the Humanities “Alma Mater” at SU “St Kliment Ohridski” announces a competition for 10 (ten) fellowship grants for a short-term research visit for senior foreign scholars applying with a research project in the field of the humanities for a period of 4 weeks at SU “St Kliment Ohridski”.
The fellowship is aimed at senior scholars, carrying out a research and/or teaching in the following academic fields: history, social and political sciences, law, philosophy, cultural studies, pedagogy, philology and journalism, economy, administration and management, geography. They must hold a senior academic position and work at a foreign higher education institution, research centre or other academic organisation at the time of applying. Holders of doctoral and post-doctoral grants from “Dialogue Europe” Institute and “Alma Mater” Centre of Excellence in the Humanities are not eligible.
The relevant fields of research are:
+cultural and historic heritage;
+the application of modern information technologies in education and research;
+regional studies and
+sustainable development, languages, literature, media and culture.
The approved applicants will sign a contract with the Centre that includes the following obligations: to carry out research and/or teaching activities during their stay in Bulgaria, to participate in the events organized by the Centre, to prepare a narrative report on the conducted visit. The contract indicates the conditions of the fellowship payments for a period no longer than 4 weeks and outlines the obligations and responsibilities of both parties.
The applicants must submit the following documents:
· Application form (a template);
· A higher education diploma (an MA degree);
· Certificate for a Ph. D. Degree (diploma, transcript of a PhD Committee decision, certificate from the sending institution);
· A certificate for the most recent academic position acquired at the time of application (diploma, transcript of an Academic Committee decision, certificate from the sending institution
· Confirmation from the receiving body (faculty/department/centre/section and/or library/archive office, etc)
