About the Doctoral Programme:
The 4-year Doctoral Program comprises course work, research seminars and a PhD dissertation. One and a half years at the beginning of the doctoral studies are devoted mostly to intensive course work that is then followed by research for the PhD dissertation. The core Finance PhD courses are organized by The Graduate School of Finance (GSF), the national PhD program hosted by
Aalto University. The local courses are complemented by intensive Finance PhD courses organized within the Nordic Finance Network (NFN), also hosted by Aalto University.
The ultimate test of any PhD program is its placement record. Here the track record of Aalto Finance PhDs is excellent. Our academic placements are at London Business School, Imperial College Business School, Catholic University of Lisbon, and Luxembourg School of Finance. The Aalto Finance PhD program provides a solid basis for starting an international academic career.
