Description: Coventry University has a proud tradition of providing high-quality learning and developing applied research, and an established reputation regionally, nationally and internationally with over 13,000 students and 1,800 staff. The University has established a number of applied research centres with academic excellence and strong links with industry. The Centre for Trust and Ethical Behaviour (CETEB) launched in April 2013 with 6 staff (2 Professors, 2 Readers and 2 Research Assistants) and aims to foster a deep and valuable research agenda in the fields of trust and ethical behaviour. This is achieved with research that leads to impactful theory and practice across industries. Centre staff have an established track record in attracting European, national and industry grants, and have successfully developed extensive networks with academic and industry partners nationally and internationally.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed person to join the Centre for Trust and Ethical Behaviour (CETEB) to contribute to our portfolio of research, publication and funding in the area of marketing and consumer ethics, and corporate social responsibility.  In particular, you will work with Prof. Marylyn Carrigan on a number of research projects studying responsible business practice and consumer behaviour. Apart from cooperating with academics and researchers in the team, the successful candidate will also be provided good opportunities to develop strong links with international academic institutions, companies and organisations.

Eligibility: It is essential that candidates have a good first degree, and it would be advantageous for candidates to hold a Masters degree, and be about to obtain a PhD (or equivalent) in one or more of the following subject areas: marketing and consumer ethics, sustainable business, corporate social responsibility or a relevant social science discipline.

It will be advantageous for candidates to have independent research experience of carrying out research projects and developing good publications. Candidates with experience of research proposal preparation will have priority. Good record keeping, data analysis skills, the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, good organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
