Description: Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research position at The University of Southampton to work on developing an multiplex assay platform using digital microfluidics.   The project is a collaboration between the School of Electronics and Computer Science, Public Health England and Sharp Labs Europe. The project involves the development of a miniaturised DNA and immunoassays on a programmable electrowetting on dielectric (EWOD) chip.

Eligibility:The candidate will have a PhD in an engineering discipline and experience in microfluidics or Lab on Chip technologies. The ability to independently conduct a challenging research activity within a complex research project is essential for this position. The candidates will also have a demonstrable ability to take the initiative in publishing research. The post is funded for 24 months, commencing in October 2013.
