Description: The Geophysics Group in the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join a thriving group working on seismological problems in a diverse range of geologic settings. Funding for the position comes from Bristol University Microseismicity Projects (BUMPS), an industry sponsored consortium. We are looking for someone with a background in studying microseismicity and are especially interested in those with research experience in studying seismic sources and full-waveform moment tensor inversion. A proven record of publishing and a willingness to present research to industry and at conferences is required. The successful candidate will have a PhD in geophysics or a related field. Contract is fixed term for 2 years, with a possibility of a 1-year extension.
