Description: This is a full time post, in the School of Chemistry and primarily involves teaching and assistance with managing a world leading organic geochemistry research group. The teaching obligations include mentoring UG tutees, teaching tutorials and workshops, laboratory demonstrating and final year UG project student supervision. The lab management aspects of the post will be done in partnership with Professor Rich Pancost in the School of Chemistry, who will also be taking on the role of Director of the Cabot Institute from August 1 2013.

Eligibility:A PhD (or equivalent) in organic geochemistry OR organic/analytical chemistry is required, with a sound training and publications documenting an ability to lead and produce science. Although a range of chemical disciplines are appropriate for the position, it is especially important that the successful applicant have some experience with LC or GC and ideally with hyphenated analytical techniques (i.e. GC-MS or LC-MS).
