UK:Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Simulation of 3D Transonic Wing Buffet at University of Liverpool.

Description: The post is supported by the Clean Sky Joint Technology Initiative project BuColic (Buffet Control of Transonic Wings) and involves close collaboration with the Aircraft Research Association (ARA). You will be involved in the CFD simulations of transonic shock buffet flow on a half wing-body configuration and the investigation of passive control devices.

Eligibilty: You should have a record of publications and a PhD in engineering or a relevant physical or mathematical science discipline. You should have a strong background in applying and developing CFD codes for aerodynamic applications. Experience with RANS/DES/LES modelling on complex geometries and shock boundary layer interaction and previous experience with the DLR-TAU code and post-processing using Tecplot is desirable. Occasional travel will be required.

Duration: The post is available from 1 October 2013, initially for a period of 18 months.
