The Post: Applications are invited for a 36-month Research Network Facilitator position as part of a Leverhulme Trust-funded research project assessing ecosystem recovery after extreme drought-related dieback events worldwide. The project will use existing plant community and resurvey data in combination with published functional trait data to assess structural and functional changes to woody ecosystems resulting from drought-related dieback events.The successful applicant will work as part of a team directed by Professor Alistair Jump (University of Stirling, UK) and including Dr Craig Allen (US Geological Survey, USA), Dr Rod Fensham (University or Queensland, Australia), Professor Thomas Kitzberger (Universidad Nacional del Comahue, Argentina), Professor Francisco Lloret (CREAF, Spain) and Dr Jordi Martínez-Vilalta (CREAF, Spain).

The position will be based at the University of Stirling with a requirement to travel as part of the project. In addition to the management and administration of the research network, the successful applicant will be responsible for collation and analysis of existing data, coordination of additional survey work, and writing research papers. The project includes the flexibility to develop additional research lines related to the project aims.
