Description:We are seeking to appoint a colleague(s) who will combine a half-time (0.5 FTE) position as a Teaching Fellow in Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems (GIS), with a half-time (0.5 FTE) position working on a Marie Curie research project focusing in the retrievals of parameters characterising land surface interactions from Earth Observation (EO) datasets.Applications are also welcome from candidates who wish to be considered for only the 0.5 FTE Teaching Fellow post or the 0.5 FTE Research Assistant position. Duties:  As a research fellow, the post-holder will support the implementation of a research project focusing in the retrievals of latent heat (LE) and sensible heat (H) as well as of soil surface moisture (SSM) derived from the synergistic use of Earth Observation (EO) data with a land surface process model named SimSphere.
