Job description

  • You prepare a doctoral thesis in the field of physiopharmacology related to cardiovascular diseases;
  • You contribute to teaching and research in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences for the research group of Physiopharmacology by means of mentoring master students during their master thesis and/or pharmaceutical care (skills training for pharmacists);

Profile and requirements

  • You hold a master degree  in Pharmaceutical Care, Drug Development, Biomedical or Veterinary Sciences, Medicine, or Biochemistry and Biotechnology;
  • You can submit outstanding academic results;
  • Also students in the final year of their degree can apply;
  • Foreign candidates are encouraged to apply;
  • Your academic qualities comply with the requirements stipulated in the university’s policy(http://www.ua.ac.be/research);
  • You are quality-oriented, conscientious, creative, customer-oriented and cooperative;
  • You are comfortable with working in a team and have excellent social skills;

We offer

  • A doctoral scholarship for a period of two years, with the possibility of renewal for a further two-year period after positive evaluation;
  • The start date of scholarship will be October 1st 2013, November 1st 2013, December 1st 2013 or January 1st 2014;
  • A monthly grant amount ranging from € 2.124,11 – € 2.265,67;
  • A dynamic and stimulating work environment;
