USA:Post-doctoral positions in Genomics of Autoimmunity at National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Description:Post-doctoral positions are available to study change in gene expression and etiological agents associated with autoimmunity. Our hypothesis is that by combining genomic level technology (custom microarrays and high throughput sequencing) with functional genomics studies using gene transfer vectors (AAV), we can identify agents associated with this condition. As a model system we focus on Sjogren’s syndrome, a chronic autoimmune disease mainly affecting secretory epithelial cells that exhibits a strong female gender bias and an estimated prevalence of 0.5-2% in the general population.

To Apply: Applicants should have a demonstrated publication record, strong English communication skills, and experience in Molecular Biology, autoimmune disease, and bioinformatics. Please send cover letter, curriculum vitae, bibliography, and a brief description of your future career interests.
