Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Dr Kylie Vincent on a research project funded by the European Research Council (ERC) for a period of 6 months. The project involves developing and implementing infrared spectroscopic experiments under electrochemical control to understand mechanistic details of biological and metal nanoparticle catalysis.

Eligibility:
You should either already have a PhD in Chemistry or a relevant subject area, or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up the post. You should have significant experience in infrared (IR) spectroscopy, electrochemistry and electrocatalysis, including experience in the design of spectroelectrochemical cells. Ideally you will have experience of attenuated total reflectance IR spectroscopy, and a sound knowledge in the area of fuel cell catalysis.You will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.

The post is available from 1 September 2013 or soon as possible thereafter.
