Job description

You will closely collaborate with colleagues from the research group on a project that studies the role of awareness space in crime location choice. The project description can be downloaded from the NSCR website. You are expected to jointly manage the research project and publish in leading international journals in criminology and/or related disciplines.

Requirements

  • a PhD in criminology or a related social science
  • experience in quantitative research
  • experience in offender-based research
  • experience in questionnaire design
  • good organizational skills
  • a background in environmental and geographic criminology is an advantage
  • fluency in Dutch is an advantage

Conditions of employment

We offer an inspiring international research environment. You will be employed for a one-year period, followed by a four-year extension conditional on a positive evaluation. The contract is due to start summer 2013. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement (CAO) of NWO. Gross monthly salary depends on experience and qualifications and ranges from € 3,228.- to € 4,439.- excluding allowances.
