the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland (UK). A
one year EPSRC funded position is available in development
of next generation self-assembled biomaterials for
three-dimensional cell culture starting October 2008. The
project is multi-disciplinary in nature, with a focus on
biomaterials chemistry and in vitro cell culture.

Candidates for this ambitious project should have a
PhD in Biomaterials science or a related area, should be
team players and have outstanding track records of research
achievement. Experience in molecular self-assembly,
rheology, spectroscopy (including CD, fluorescence,
UV/Visible), microscopy (AFM, TEM), biochemical assays and
three-dimensional cell culture is desirable but training
