Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

A PhD student position is available in the
research group of Gabriele Janzen at the Behavioural Science Institute
(BSI) and the F.C. Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging of Radboud
University Nijmegen. We investigate the development of spatial skills
and the neural correlates of spatial memory. We examine healthy adults
and children using a combination of imaging as well as behavioural
methods: fMRI, EEG, measurement of eye movements, and response times,
as well as navigational behaviour. The proposed fMRI research and parts
of the EEG research will be carried out at the F.C. Donders Centre for
Cognitive Neuroimaging. The centre has facilities for (f)MRI at 1.5 and
3 Tesla as well as three EEG labs, including a baby lab and an MEG lab.
An eye tracker for measuring eye movements in MR scanners is available.
A mobile EEG laboratory ideal for testing children is available at the
Behavioural Science Institute.

University Graduate
Candidates for the PhD
student position should have a Master’s degree in
experimental/cognitive psychology, psycholinguistics, or related
cognitive neuroscience fields. They are expected to have a strong
interest in and hold qualifications for scientific research. Experience
with functional MRI and EEG is an advantage.
