A vacant CORE-Ph.d.-scholarship at Department of Management

Centre for Organizational Renewal and Evolution (CORE) at Dept, of
Management, The Aarhus School of Business invites applicants for a vacant 3-year
PhD-scholarhsip within COREs four research ares: (1) Organizational genesis and
growth (entrepreneurship); (2) Organizational renewal and business
development; (3) Managerial implications of the increased
internationalization, digitalization and networking and/or (4) Managerial
implications of the increased internationalizations’ cultural aspects.

PhD-proposals relating to more than one of the themes will be preferred. An
interesting example of the latter may for example include investigations of how
culture affect entrepreneurial activities within organisations be it
entrepreneurial actors, entrepreneurial strategies and/or collective
entrepreneurial behaviour in a global as and/or local context. Ph.D-proposals
that do not demonstrate a clear fit with and potential contribution to COREs
research profile will not be considered any further. For further information on

As part of the PhD scholarship the applicant will be enrolled in a PhD
program comprising a number of courses within the relevant research area.
Applicants must be willing to spend up to 6 months at a foreign university as
part of the scholarship. Applicants are required to teach in the department
programs and must present their research at seminars and conferences.
Furthermore, we expect that PhD scholars participate in activities arranged by
the department.

The appointment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish
Ministry of Finance and the appointee’s organization.

The application, which should be submitted in 5 copies, must contain the
application form, a full CV and a copy of the applicant’s M.Sc. certificate.
Furthermore applicants must include a description of their research project

Deadline for applications The application must be received by the Aarhus
School of Business no later than November 1, 2006 2006.

The applicants will be evaluated by an expert assessment committee whose
recommendations of each applicant will be sent to the applicant. Priority will
be given to the applicant who shows the best research potential.
